What happened to this item I was bidding on?
Okay, this is NOT my week on ebay. I was bidding on this doll, and when I checked to see the end of the auction (I had just checked it about an hour before the item was ending, still bidding going on ), the doll was listed only as 9.99 with zero bids. We all were bidding on this doll, but there is no explanation as to what happened. Ebay did not notify us it removed the item, and there was no seller explanation. Here is the item number: 260616763231. Any clues here as to what happened? Last bid was over $55.|||Your bids were canceled.|||the seller canceled the auction. Probably because they were to cheap to use a reserve and wasn't getting what they wanted for it. I wouldn't think nothing of it if they only canceled 1 auction but they canceled 4 just lately. A seller that cancels auctions like this routinely gets added to my never ever bid with this seller again list no matter what they are selling. Why waste time bidding with a seller that doesn't always follow thru?||||||Ebay does not notify bidders if the auction was pulled by them.Ebay will noitfy the high bidder (several days later) if the auction ended with a high bidder. Ebay can and often pulls an ended auction. There are many reasons Ebay pulls/takes down auctions. The listing very likely contained one or more listing violations and was reported to Ebay, hence the take down.|||If the seller canceled all the bids because the item was not getting the $ the seller hoped for , that is Reserve Fee Avoidence and should/ can be reported here Link|||OP, you can tell that this auction and their other auctions were canceled by the seller by going to the bid history page on each auction and page to the bottom. You will see the explanation that the seller canceled the auction early. When ebay cancels an auction, all traces of it disappears, including not even finding it by item number. I found the other seller cancelled auctions by looking at the no sale items in their completed section and looking at the bid history page. I looked and this seller was already on my do not buy from list so they pulled this same stunt in the past besides just the 4 or 5 recent ones.|||seller says "DOWNSIZING MY 500+ MINT IN BOX COLLECTION". Wow thats more extreme than some guys with star wars figures..|||This wine listing alone should have never have made it to the finish. It violates at least 2 of EBay's wine listing requirements. 260614084958|||Seller knows exactly what they are doing, which is reserve fee avoidence. Ebay will eduate them|||* educate them|||I think they will get an education soon. Thanks for your help with this.
